FIRSTTHEN EXPLAINER

CONCEPT
I, along with a team of five students, was asked to create an explainer video for the nonprofit, FirstThen, to act as a pitch demo to show to investors. The video needed to use previously established branding to create an engaging yet informative glance into the goals, motivations, and accomplishments of the company.
FirstThen is a nonprofit with a focus in helping the parents of children with ADHD, founded by Amanda Schnetzer.
CONCEPT
PROCESS

I worked as the Creative Lead on this project in collaboration with five other students in the UTD Motion Graphics Lab. As the lead, I was the final voice on all creative decisions, including storyboards, visual direction, and final animations. I also coordinated weekly meetings in which my team and I would discuss edits and changes that needed to be made based on the client's notes.

With only the script and the FirstThen website to work off of, we quickly identified several goals for our piece:
-
Featuring diversity in our depictions of children and families
-
Using the brand mascot, Attentio, to guide the viewer's eye throughout the animation
-
Having a playful, simple style to allow for the viewer to focus on what is being said rather than any distracting visuals
To accomplish these goals, we made several iterations of our storyboards, created style frames, and animated in tandem with eachother to create a seamless final product.
