Like with any logo design, I started with sketches. Knowing very little about fishing, I promptly mixed up lures with reels, but recovered once everything was uploaded to Illustrator.

I knew I wanted to incorporate iconic fishing imagery: hooks, fish, rods, water. I eventually narrowed it down to the design featuring the literal "Lil' Man." Using the fish as the apostrophe was too good an opportunity to pass up.
